Part 1
I can never connect myself nor any
person to Percy Jackson since he is has superpowers like breathing in the water
and control and createing waters and hydrokinesis but I know of someone from the
movie Taare Zameen Par or Every Child is Special who in somehow or another
possess the same attributes with him.
Ishaan Awasthi suffered with dyslexia. At first, his
parents see him as a very untamed, attention seeker and dumb child. In fact, even
his teachers never understood the way he acts especially on his academic
performances. Upon placed on correction, he met Sir Nikumbh, Ishaan’s art
teacher who first saw and appreciated the child’s potential in Arts. He also
noticed the condition of the Ishaan and helped him to overcome his condition. On
a deeper perspective, Ishaan is more likely to Percy Jackson because he first
came as an ordinary child. A powerless, unnoticed one and sometimes gets the
attention of everyone because of clumsiness. But later, they find within themselves
the potential that they could use as an edge towards others as well as their
capital for a refined life.
I admire Percy Jackson the way he lives his life
considering he has no father to attend him. Despite of his special condition,
he pursue to subsist himself until he, little by little, figured out the
puzzles in his life. Redeeming himself from a crime he never committed was
really a big deal. His innocence added up to his drastic life in which he never
expected that the learnings in his Greek lessons would really make a great
impact in his entire life. I also appreciate how the people around him, his
mother, Mr. Brunner and Grover Underwood tried their best to hide everything
until the right time turned up. I know that Poseidon, though is afar, really
cared for his son that on the sly he attend his son’s need especially in times
of jeopardy.
Percy Jackson knows that fate was always against him yet
he find ways in other to flip his destiny. The Gods put the blame on him since
they believe on Poseidon’s broken oath yet I strongly suppose that it was a big
mistake since Percy was too guiltless with the “god’s stuffs” especially with
Zeus’ master bolt. Together with his new friends at the camp half-blood they
took their way not just to save his mother and the lightning bolt but most
especially to prove and clear his name from the suspicions that other’s made.
I couldn’t stop myself from asking why the Gods keep on
involving themselves with the humans, plant their seeds, bloom their demigod
babies and abandon them. If they know the consequences of mingling with the
humans, why continue? Why did Luke Castellan tried to steal the lightning bolt?
What was his intentions in doing such great crime that could ruin the entire
humanity.
Like any other series, I presume that this is just the
beginning of Percy’s journey. I think he will be the prime student of the Camp
Half-Blood who will try to defend against the foes. Percy Jackson, on his
prophecy, will surely be successful and victorious!
